According to first video source, audio tapes on which a child can be heard directing jets at New York's John F Kennedy Airport have sparked a probe in the US.
The child apparently makes five transmissions from the airport control centre to pilots preparing for take-off.
The Federal Aviation Administration has launched the investigation after the audio came to light on a website for air traffic control buffs.
A spokesman for the FAA said: "Pending the outcome of our investigation, the employees involved in this incident are not controlling air traffic.
"This behaviour is not acceptable and does not demonstrate the kind of professionalism expected from all FAA employees." That's what you get, guys, when the kids are out of school.
