UK man with locked-in syndrome loses right-to-die case

A paralysed man with a fully-functioning mind says he is “devastated” after losing a right-to-die case in Britain.

Tony Nicklinson, 58, from Wiltshire in southwest England has locked-in syndrome after a stroke seven years ago and needs a computer to communicate.

The High Court said it would not grant immunity from prosecution to any doctors who might help end his life.
