Koala and biker survive a close encounter

Victoria, Australia - A group of bikers had to take evasive action when a koala ran across the road in front of them. 

It looks like healthy instincts and decent brakes have prevented a much messier ending.

After the impact the koala picked itself up and wandered back across the road, seemingly unharmed. 

A following motorcyclist ran into the back of a car that had stopped as a result of the incident.
